Our God-Breathed Bible - Part 4 (2 Peter 1:19-21)

Bob SchultzBob Schultz, April 15, 2012
Part of the 2 Peter series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Today we will answer a series of questions so that our faith in Scripture would increase and we would take heed to what it says. Those questions are...

1) How do I know the church I attend truly believes the Word of God is inspired?

2) How did the 66 books in our English Bible become the recognized inspired collection authored by God? (The study of the Cannon)

3) Where did the Words in our English Bible come from?

4) What about the English translations--which is best?

Believe in the God breathed Bible today and take heed to what it says for the glory of God.

2 Peter 1:19–21 (Listen)

19 And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 20 knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. 21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
