A New Year's Hope (Lamentations 3:19-24)

Bob SchultzBob Schultz, January 5, 2014
Part of the Sunday Messages series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

The goal of our message is to think about the character of God so that we would have hope in the coming year where ever our circumstances or our shortcomings may lead us. May we grow in our understanding of God which gives us real hope that is found no where else.

Lamentations 3:19–24 (Listen)

19   Remember my affliction and my wanderings,
    the wormwood and the gall!
20   My soul continually remembers it
    and is bowed down within me.
21   But this I call to mind,
    and therefore I have hope:
22   The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
    his mercies never come to an end;
23   they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.
24   “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul,
    “therefore I will hope in him.”
