Jesus' Resurrection Matters (1 Corinthians 15:17-20, 1 Peter 1:3, Romans 4:25, 1 Corinthians 15:58)
Bob Schultz, April 20, 2014Part of the Easter Service series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
Today we will look at six outcomes of Jesus resurrection that apply to every believer so that our faith would be strengthened and we would be abounding in our service for God's glory.
1 Corinthians 15:17–20 (Listen)
17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. 18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied.
20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

1 Peter 1:3 (Listen)
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
(ESV)
Romans 4:25 (Listen)
25 who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.
(ESV)
1 Corinthians 15:58 (Listen)
58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
