Close But Far Away - Part 2 (Hebrews 6:1-3)

Part of the Book of Hebrews series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

This week will be our second message titled, "Close but Far Away," from Hebrews 6:1-3. Last week we started this section which is commonly referred to as the third warning passage in the book of Hebrews. The writer is urging his readers, some of whom were still unredeemed Jews living under the Old Covenant, to enter the New Covenant, embrace Christ alone - who is better than any high priest or sacrifice, and be saved.

Don't miss a message in our study of the book of Hebrews that speaks in a practical way to the religious world and church culture in which we all live.

Hebrews 6:1–3 (Listen)

6:1 Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And this we will do if God permits.
