Lord Teach Us To Pray - Part 7 (Matthew 6:10)
Bob Schultz, November 18, 2012Part of the Prayer series, preached at a Sunday Morning service
This week we continue our study of prayer by looking at Matthew 6:10, “Thy Kingdom come.” We could title this, “The Aspect of Waiting.” In our instant society where everything is expected now, how we learn a great principle of prayer, namely that God’s Kingdom is coming, and we must pray for it, but we must also wait for it. In addition, prayer consistency is often fueled by an attitude of waiting, knowing that God will answer our prayers in His time, not ours. As the world we live in continues to become more and more ungodly how we need to pray, “Thy Kingdom come,” and wait expectantly for it.
Matthew 6:10 (Listen)
10 Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
